Asbestos Awareness

This Asbestos Awareness course is designed to give participants a general knowledge of occupational asbestos exposure for asbestos containing material (ACM), particularly during repairs, renovations and demolitions of buildings. The course covers building materials and occupational activities that are most likely to be a health risk if asbestos is found.

Back in the day literally every building material contained ACM, so this course covers the possible health consequence of exposure to asbestos, overall principles of risk assessment and good control measures. This training enables the participants to recognize hazards and implement the controls, and work out practices that can protect their, and their co-worker’s, health and safety at work.
